St Edwin's Church

We have very close links with the village church, St Edwin's. Reverend Railton regularly visits us in school and delivers our act of collective worship. Katie Hollis, a church youth worker, comes in twice a week and also leads collective worship as well as helping us if we have things we would like to chat about. Katie and her friends from the church also share with us stories from the Bible in our 'Open Book' assemblies. Katie also worked with Class 4 to plan and deliver the Harvest Festival and she is now busy helping Year 6 with the Christmas Carol Service.

High Coniscliffe Out of School Club

Run by West Park Day Nursery, the Out of School Club runs from 7.45am to 8.50am and then 3.15pm to 6.00pm to provide Ofsted registered childcare for our families. The club is very much part of school life and is extremely popular and well used.

St Mary's Cockerton CE Primary School

Our Headteacher, Mrs Aitken, is also the Headteacher of this Darlington primary school which is just 4 miles away along Staindrop Road. This link, which was formed in April 2015, has already brought benefits to both school communities. Shared resources, shared expertise, shared training are just some of the ways the two schools are working together.

The newly created partnership between High Coniscliffe and Cockerton is already bearing good fruit: sharing of expertise and resources are some of the advantages. Both schools rightly retain their own identity and are a strong presence in their respective villages
